Show at OCAC: June 2011

This June, I had the opportunity to show watercolor paintings at the Oxford Community Arts Center, in Oxford, Ohio. The watercolors are from a workshop I attended with Meredith Nemirov and a group of lovely women this past fall in Abiquiu, New Mexico. It was fun hanging the show with my friend, Chrissy, and the opening was an interesting one. The show is up until August 5, 2011. So if you are in the area, stop by!

My show was in the room to the left of the front door,
where the outside is painted white.

 Setting up before hanging

We hung the accordion piece with fishing wire through eyelets inserted into the piece.
The fishing wire attached to the molding of the room with hooks:
the plaster on the walls is too fragile to nail or tape onto.

Attaching the first hook to the molding.

We used sticky-putty to attach the spines of the piece to the wall.

 Almost done!

Cool Ari! I really like the accordion piece! Its awesome how viewing it from a certain angle gives a continuous effect. I also enjoyed the Matthew heads :)
