Just for Fun in Ohio: Spring 2011

These pieces are made with the intention of just pleasing myself, without an audience in mind. I've realized that since art school, my work has become self-conscious; I've inadvertently had a teacher-figure in mind while doing anything, even after graduation. So, in attempt to develop my own voice, I am retraining myself. I am taking the focus from the external to the internal teacher. I show the images here because posting on this blog gives me a sense of completion. That is all. So, if sales or shows come, they come. But until I am solid in myself, none of the external praise matters.
