Salvador, Brazil: July 2008

Shortly after arriving in Brazil, I traveled North to Salvador, where I stayed for a week with a new friend, Moni. Moni and her friends are the best tour guides a foreigner could ask for. Um beijo por tudos meos amigos in salvador! Despite language barriers, we shared many adventures: we visited beautiful beaches, toured the old city, listened to music, ate good food and danced the samba and forro' late into the night. While in Salvador, I mostly made pen and pencil studies in my sketchbook, but I did get a good watercolor session in at a local beach.
